In Directorate Search & Knowledge Services, Principal Directorate Patent Grant Automation, EPO The Hague (the Netherlands)

The European Patent Office is looking for a highly motivated senior manager with proven leadership skills to reinforce the Patent Grant Automation management team. In this Director level position, he/she will be responsible for the development and implementation of the future knowledge management policies for its prior art search and information retrieval services. He/she will manage a Directorate of approximately 20 staff and will supervise and co-ordinate all activities related to the provision of services, tools and databases necessary to support examiners in carrying out patentability searches.

The profile of the ideal candidate includes skills such as assertiveness, decisiveness and a service/results oriented attitude. Furthermore, the incumbent should have many years of experience in providing or developing knowledge management automation services.
